We are a family barbershop, and a good part of our regular trade is older clients who have been getting their hair cut the same way for decades and would like it done properly.
- No rush. If getting in and out of the chair takes a moment, that is fine. Nobody is waiting impatiently.
- We listen to how you have it done. If a barber got it right in 1987 and you have wanted it that way ever since, tell us and we will do that. We are not going to talk you into a fade.
- Neck, ears and eyebrows tidied as part of the cut, which is usually what makes the difference.
- Quiet times are easy to find — mid-morning on a weekday is the calmest the shop gets. Worth asking for if a busy room is not your thing.
- Free parking on site, and we are at ground level at Kiara Shopping Centre.

Cutting thinning and fine hair
Hair changes with age — it gets finer, the growth pattern shifts, and the hairline moves. A cut that worked twenty years ago may not sit the same way now, and the answer is usually a small adjustment rather than a different style.
- Shorter on the sides tends to look fuller on top, because reducing the contrast makes thinning less obvious than leaving length that separates and shows scalp.
- Scissor work over clipper work on fine hair usually gives a softer edge that does not emphasise sparseness.
- Avoid heavy product. It weighs fine hair down and makes it clump, which shows more scalp rather than less.
- A defined neckline does more for how tidy a cut looks than anything happening on top.
We will say what we think will sit well and why, then do what you want.
What to expect when you book
- Walk in or book ahead. Walk-ins are welcome every day. Booking just means you are not waiting for a chair, which is worth doing on weekends and late afternoons.
- Where we are. Shop 4/68 Aussat Drive, Kiara WA 6054, at Kiara Shopping Centre, with free parking on site.
- When we are open. Mon–Fri 9am–6pm · Sat–Sun 9am–5pm — seven days.
- Payment. Cash, EFTPOS and card.
- Bring a photo. Genuinely the single most useful thing you can do. A reference picture settles more than any description.
