Men's haircut
$30
Usually around 25 to 35 minutes · $50 with a beard trim and line-up
How the appointment runs
- We ask first. How short on the sides, how much off the top, whether you want it styled or low-maintenance, and whether anything about your last cut annoyed you. That last question saves more haircuts than any other.
- Cut to suit your hair — scissor work, clipper work, or both, depending on your hair type and the shape you want.
- Detail work — neckline, around the ears, and the hairline.
- Styled at the finish, so you leave seeing how it is meant to sit rather than working it out at home.
Usually around 25 to 35 minutes. $30 for the cut, or $50 with a beard trim and line-up.
Getting the cut you actually wanted
Most disappointing haircuts come from a communication gap, not a bad barber. A few things that help:
- Bring a photo. It is worth more than any description. Two or three from different angles is better still.
- Talk in what you want, not in numbers. "A two on the sides" means different lengths on different clippers. "Short but not skin, and I want to still be able to push it back" is far more useful.
- Say how you style it. If you do nothing to your hair in the morning, the cut needs to work dry and unstyled — tell us and we will cut for that.
- Mention what went wrong last time. Too short on top, sides too high, took too long to grow out. All useful.
- Speak up during the cut. It is much easier to leave length than to put it back.
Styles we cut regularly

- Scissor cuts for length and a softer shape
- Textured crops and French crops
- Mid-length and pushed-back styles
- Mullets and taper-back looks

- Curly and textured cuts, cut with the curl pattern rather than against it
- Classic side parts and traditional shapes

Frequently asked questions
How much is a men's haircut in Kiara?
An adult haircut is $30 at Barberz Den. A zero fade is $35, a skin fade is $40, and a haircut with a beard trim is $50. Kids cuts are $25 and high-school cuts are $28.
How long does a men's haircut take?
Usually around 25 to 35 minutes for a standard cut. A skin fade takes a little longer, and adding a beard trim pushes it closer to an hour.
Do I need to book?
No — walk-ins are welcome seven days a week. Booking just saves you waiting for a chair, which is worth it on weekends and late afternoons.
How should I explain the haircut I want?
Bring a photo, and describe the result rather than clipper numbers — how short on the sides, how much length stays on top, and whether you want it styled or low-maintenance. Say what annoyed you about your last cut too.
Do you cut curly or textured hair?
Yes, regularly. Curly hair needs to be cut with the curl pattern rather than against it, and it behaves differently wet versus dry — which is why we check how you wear it before starting.
