Children's haircut
$25
Usually around 20 to 30 minutes · $28 for high-school students
First haircut, or a nervous one
Some kids sit perfectly still and enjoy the whole thing. Others do not, and that is completely normal. We are not going to rush a child who is not ready, and we are not going to make you feel bad about it either.
A few things that genuinely help:
- Come at a quiet time if you can. Mid-morning on a weekday is calmer than a Saturday afternoon, and a calm room makes a big difference.
- Do not schedule it around a nap or a meal. A tired or hungry child is a hard haircut for everyone.
- Let them watch you first if they are really unsure. Sitting in your lap for the first part is fine.
- Bring a phone or tablet. We are not precious about screen time in the chair — whatever keeps them still and happy.
- Do not warn them about the clippers. The noise is less alarming if it has not been built up beforehand. We will show them it on their hand first.
- A photo helps if they know what they want. Older kids usually do, and they will tell you it is wrong later if nobody asked them.

What we cut for kids
- Short back and sides, and classic school-friendly cuts
- Fades — plenty of kids want exactly what their older brother has, and that is fine
- Textured crops and longer styles on top
- Scissor cuts where clippers are too much for them
- Curly and textured hair
- A simple tidy-up if that is all they will sit for today
If a child genuinely will not have it done, we would rather do a rough tidy and have you come back than force it and put them off barbershops for years.
